Full-Time Lecturer, 2013-14
The Mathematics Department within the College of Science and Mathematics is seeking applications for a Full-Time Lecturer for the 2013-14 academic year to primarily teach undergraduate pre-calculus and calculus courses (not to exceed 45 units total for three quarters).
Required Qualifications/Specialized Skills: Applicants must have a Masters or Doctorate degree in mathematics or closely related discipline, such as science or engineering.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Masters or Doctorate degree in mathematics or applied mathematics. Experience teaching a wide range of undergraduate mathematics courses at the collegiate level.

Part-Time Lecturer Pool, 2013-14
Appointments from the Part-Time Lecturer Pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.
The Mathematics Department within the College of Science and Mathematics is seeking applications for a pool of part-time lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2013-14 academic year. Responsibilities include teaching lower division mathematics courses.
Required Qualifications/Specialized Skills: Applicants must have a Masters degree in mathematics or closely related discipline, such as science or engineering.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills: Experience teaching mathematics at the collegiate level.

The Department
The Mathematics Department offers a full range of undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses. There are approximately 150 sections of math classes each quarter with an average lower-division enrollment of 35 per class. The faculty consists of approximately 30 permanent faculty, 15 temporary (both full-time and part-time), and 15 graduate teaching associates. The Mathematics Department does not offer any courses in statistics or computer science. Applicants interested in part-time teaching in those areas should contact the Statistics Department or the Computer Science Department.
