Faculty Positions in Mathematics
- Part-Time Lecturer Pool
The Mathematics Department has positions available as determined by need during Summer, Fall, Winter, and/or Spring quarters for the 2008-2009 academic year. Positions are often not available until shortly before the start of the quarter. Responsibilities include teaching lower division mathematics courses. Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and time base. Applicants must have a Masters degree in mathematics or a related discipline.

- The Department
The Mathematics Department offers classes ranging from Algebra I through graduate courses. There are approximately 150 sections of math classes each quarter with an average enrollment of 30 per class. The faculty consists of approximately 35 permanent faculty, 15 temporary (both full-time and part-time), and 10 graduate teaching associates. The Mathematics Department has over 200 undergraduate majors, and a small master's degree program.
