
Admission to the Credential Program
On-line Application: Students seeking a credential program at Cal Poly must apply as post-baccalaureate students at
www.csumentor.edu
There is a $55 admission fee. The admission application deadlines are:

Send the following to the Admissions Office by the deadline:
- One official transcript from all colleges/universities attended. Mathematics students must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on their last 90-quarter units or 2.67 in all baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate coursework attempted.
- Evidence of having taken the CBEST. Go to www.cbest.nesinc.com for more information about the test. Students must pass this test before starting the credential classes.
- Evidence of having applied for a Certificate of Clearance (fingerprints). Students can obtain this certificate at the Cal Poly Police Department or at a County Office of Education.

Sheryl O'Neill will contact you to schedule an admissions interview with the Mathematics Department Credential Screening Committee. The main focus of this interview is to determine professional aptitude and completion of the subject matter competency and early field experience requirements.
Students accepted to the University will have to complete STEP I requirements and submit the corresponding documents to the College of Education by the Monday of the 4th week of their first quarter in the program. You can find out more information about Step I under Procedures and Requirements.
