Cal Poly Career Services offers a wide variety of programs to help you find the right job. Open hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, Fall through Spring. The Career Resource Center is a great source for career and college information. Students can take interactive computer assessments; browse the career planning books; compare salary surveys and get information from the Alumni Network binders to contact recent graduates.

Log onto Mustang Jobs through the my.calpoly.edu portal to connect with employers offering career, co-op, and summer job/internship opportunites. You will have access to on-campus interviews, company information sessions, job listings, and job fairs. Student resumes are also made available to employers through Resume Book service.

For math undergraduates, Markel Quarles is the Career Counselor for the College of Science and Mathematics. If you are thinking about graduate school, unsure of your major, need work experience, or need help with interview skills, he is here to help you. Career Services is located in Building 124, across from Mustang Stadium. To make an appointment, call 756-2501, extension 4, or send email to mquarles@calpoly.edu.

Markel is also available for drop-ins on the following days:
  • Tuesdays from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the Multicultural Center (UU 217B)
  • Wednesdays from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Career Services office, building 124.
