The ninth conference on permutation patterns, PP2011, was be held at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo during the week of June 20-24th, 2011. There were over 45 participants for a program of 32 research talks. Two hour long plenary talks were delivered by Igor Pak and Jeff Remmel. The slides from each talk given on a computer can also be found on the program page.

The Permutation Patterns 2011 Proceedings will be published as a special issue of the journal Pure Mathematics and Applications, with guest editors Luca Ferrari and Jeffrey Liese.

To submit a paper to the proceedings, please send it as a pdf file to Jeffrey Liese at Papers submitted for this special issue will be refereed by two anonymous referees, according to the usual standards of PuMA. The deadline for submissions is February 13th, 2012.
